We had the privileged of being visited by Rosemary Alker, Bachelor of Physical Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid, Master in Meteorology and Co-Responsible of the Meteorology Department of Mediaset, to celebrate the inauguration of our new educational space, the Weather Station. In our Santa María la Blanca we are committed to the environment that surrounds us and, therefore, we are also interested in Montecarmelo’s weather. For the past two weeks we have installed our station on one of the rooftops to collect the data that Montecarmelo gives us daily regarding temperature, rain, humidity, wind speed, solar radiation, and atmospheric pressure. The goal is to project new educational spaces that “break” the school’s own classroom walls.
We want to show our sincere thanks to Rosemary. Her brilliance and collaboration with all the teachers and students was admirable from the start. The students really enjoyed her speech at the Plácido Domingo school auditorium. We hope for a “nod” by the Montecarmelo neighborhood on the weekend newscast 😊!
