1st Innovation in Education Forum
- Date: December 10, 2010
- Place: Colegio Santa María la Blanca
- Our first innovation in education forum involved a meeting with the Makah community. The Makah Tribe are a Native American people who live apart on a reservation in the State of Washington, between Neah Bay and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Attracted by our education project, they came to visit at a time when we were in the initial stages our Tribes school project. During their visit, we signed a twinning partnership between the our two educational communities that has held strong over time. As part of the gathering, we had the pleasure of sharing our customs and art with them.
